- Will the College Board require teachers to complete another AP® course audit?
- Teachers will be required to participate in a course audit. However, the College Board is considering what the audit requirements and process will be, given that some teachers have already incorporated many of these changes into their current courses. Additional information will be available on this site when a decision is reached.
- When will more information about the changes to the exams be available?
- Additional information regarding the exams will be available starting in spring 2010 and will be posted on this site. For the most up-to-date information on when resources will be provided, please visit the timeline and sign up for updates here.
- Will a practice exam be available?
- A full practice exam will be available before the 2011–12 academic year begins. For more information on when resources will be provided, please visit the timeline.
- Will the College Board provide any instructional resources to teachers?
- A number of resources are in development. For more information about when the resources will be provided, please visit the timeline.
- Will AP courses other than World History, French Language and Culture, and German Language and Culture undergo similar changes?
- At this time, reviews of AP U.S. History, AP European History, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP Chinese Language and Culture, AP Japanese Language and Culture, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science and AP Physics B are complete. The College Board is developing a schedule for implementing these changes in the coming years, balancing the priority of making the changes with the resource constraints faced by schools, teachers and the College Board. As a matter of practice, the AP Program will announce any changes to AP courses two years before any changes will take effect.

- Will schools or districts be required to purchase new books or resources?
- The College Board does not anticipate that the changes will require purchasing new textbooks or other resources.
- When will changes to the courses and exams in world languages take place?
- The course and exam changes for AP French Language and Culture and AP German Language and Culture will take effect in the 2011-12 academic year. Revisions to AP Chinese Language and Culture, AP Japanese Language and Culture, and AP Spanish Language and Culture are planned for future years and will be announced at least two years before being implemented. With these changes, all five courses and exams will be based on a common framework for developing language proficiency.
